I love you ! The three words I have longed to hear from a handsome prince charming who claims he will adore me forever. I am only 20 years old , and have only had 2- 3 serious boyfriends/boys i dated for long term ( the titles of relationships seemed to get confusing and more complex in college ) . No boy I ever dated has said these words . The hottest of the 3 came close , we created our own term known as "lovike". It was cute and innocent , a great example of two people waiting for the right moment.
All my friends I have said I love you to their boyfriends, and have heard it often enough. Some girls after six months , others only three , but if the relationship was going on its "one year" you better believe that boy was saying it ! I never thought it to be not normal for not exchanging these words, don't get me wrong I the boys I dated were amazingly hott and nothing more would have made me happier than to hear their sweet lips move those words to me .
I am a sucker for Romance novels by Nicholas Sparks . His books are filled with passionate examples of love. They almost seem unreal to me. My favorite kind of music to Jam out to , would be a love song. Even when those Jerks broke my heart, all I wanted to do was Crank up "I melt" by Rascal Flatts . I would not imagine those particular boys singing it to me , but just a man I know will come into my future. The feelings in these books are so strong and so amazing sounding , I almost cant comprehend loving a man that much , or knowing someone feels that way about me. Do my friends feel that way about their boyfriends? Do my married couples feel that way about each other? Will I ever know ? Im glad I never heard these words said to me . Im glad that I chickened out on saying them . I don't know what love actually feels like. I know that the boys have came close to the rascal flatts words , but not 100% .. Does this mean my Prince Charming is still out there?
Im wondering If someone could tell me who claims to love someone exactly what it feels like , and if Nicholas Sparks and country singers are true to their words ? or is it just to entertain Broads like me ? And please elaborate <3 Thanks !!

Valerie, You have felt love and shown it many times. It shows in your words above and your selfLESS actions. If you did not say it, it was not because you are a chicken-it is because it wasn't right. Never hold back - say it when you mean it - say it often-don't expect others to say it back- especially immature boys AND immature MEN who are freaked out because they think "I love You" means commitment. Or they think it is un-manly to show their feelings-they have to be macho and that BS is boring. Who needs either? You deserve a man who will connect with you and want to please your romantic desires, in all ways-wait for him - he will come into your life's path and you will choose him to love forever-just like in the songs. Imagine if everyone said I love you what a great place this world would become. Trust me people love each other in many different ways and can love more than 1 person in a lifetime. Some stay and some leave-it is a hard fact. Love is a choice - one that makes your heart grow much bigger. Imagine the end of a person's life - in the end, the only thing they can take with them is the love they showered on people and the love they have felt in return. If the boy can't handle it then he is not the one for you. The sentimental words you here in music are real; the emotions behind them are real; and people feel like this all the time-including married people. WHY do people hold these words back- Who really knows but I am certain the reasons are stupid and self centered. I suppose it is easier to complain and talk BS or make fun of people, marriage and relationships becuase it gets a laugh. Take the unpopular road, follow your heart and say I love you! He's out there and WOW will he be glad to have found you becuase your heart is very big and your values are true!
